What we collect
When you use SAVY, we collect:
- Email address — for authentication only. We never share or sell it.
- Links you save — URLs, titles, summaries, and AI-generated categories.
- Screenshots you upload — stored securely, only accessible by you.
- Transcripts — text extracted from videos you save.
- Payment info — if you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or billing address — Stripe handles that directly.
- API tokens — generated for AI integrations. Stored securely, revocable at any time.
How we use your data
- To organize and display your saves
- To run AI categorization on content you save
- To provide search and filtering
- To send you sign-in codes (email only, no marketing)
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. Your saves are yours.
Third-party services
We use the following services to operate SAVY:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Vercel — hosting
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI categorization
- Apify — social media content extraction
- Deepgram — video transcription
- Mapbox — map display for saved places
- Resend — authentication emails
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
- OpenAI — AI-powered content categorization and search
- Sentry — error tracking and performance monitoring
- Brave Search — web search for AI Brain queries
- Geoapify — place geocoding for saved locations
These services process your data only to provide SAVY's features. Each has their own privacy policy. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe — we never access your card details.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Screenshots are stored in Supabase Storage. All connections use HTTPS encryption.
Your rights
- Export — download all your data anytime (Settings → Export my data)
- Delete — delete individual saves or your entire account
- Access — all your data is visible in the app
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. This includes:
- Saves and content — retained until you delete them or close your account
- Deleted saves — moved to trash for 30 days, then permanently removed
- Error logs — retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes
- Usage analytics — aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data may be retained indefinitely to improve the service
If you delete your account, we will remove all personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., total saves processed, error rates) may be retained.
Analytics & error tracking
We use Vercel Analytics and Sentry to understand how SAVY performs and to fix errors. This includes:
- Page views and feature usage (anonymized)
- Error reports with stack traces (no personal content included)
- Session replays on errors only (to reproduce and fix bugs)
- Performance metrics (load times, API response times)
We do not use this data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and basic analytics. No ad tracking cookies.
